AIM: To evaluate the clinical effects of combined trabeculoctomy with non-perforating trabecular surgery (NPTS) for congential glaucoma. METHODS: 21 patients (37 eyes) with congential glaucoma were treated with combined trabeculoctomy and NPTS. The mean follow-up was 12-24 months. RESULTS: The mean preoperative IOP was 28.5 ± 6.5 mmHg, the mean postoperative IOP was 15.2 ± 5.5 mmHg, the difference was significant (P < 0.01). The success rate was 94% (IOP < 21 mmHg). There were functional blebs in 28 eyes, horizontal corneal diameter and C/D ratio in all patients didot extend after the operation, The complications such as vitreous loss, flat chamber, posterior synchia, endophthalmitis were not observed. CONCLUSION: Combined trabeculoctomy and NPTS is a safe and effective surgery for congential glaucoma. LA: Chinese
