The morbidity of normal tension glaucoma (NTG) increases gradually. Ophthalmologists are paying more and more attention to NTG. The early diagnosis of NTG is more difficult and complicated than other kinds of glaucoma because it is often concealed at first. The mechanism, diagnosis and difference between primary open-angle glaucoma (POAG) and NTG have not been correlated. This article summarizes research on the mechanism of NTG and POAG, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment and the relationship between the two kinds of glaucomatous diseases. LA: Chinese
