The contemporary literature has widely described the role of blood flow in glaucomatous damage. This paper presents the role of systemic blood pressure, nocturnal hypotension, vasospasmus syndrome, and defective autoregulation of the blood flow in glaucoma optic atrophia. It points out the importance of cooperation between ophthalmologist and specialists in internal medicine in treating patients with primary open-angle glaucoma.LA: Polish
