Coleman AL; Wilson MR
Ophthalmology Clinics of North America 2000; 13: 349-359

The definition of a risk factor is discussed, and risk factors for primary open-angle glaucoma (intraocular pressure, age, race, family history, genes, myopia, diabetes, systemic hypertension, migraine and vasospasm, and gender) and primary angle closure glaucoma (race, age, gender, refractive error, family history, and environmental factors) are reviewed. Both issues and guidelines for screening for glaucoma are presented.
