For the purpose of scarring prophylaxis under anti-glaucomatous surgery it was studied the efficiency of use 'Viscoat' viscoelastic on the base of 3% hyaluronic acid and 4% chondroitin sulfate. The research was implemented on 10 chinchilla rabbits (by weight 2,0-2,5 kg). The right eyes were operated for the exclusion of oculo-ocular reactions, the left eyes served as a control. Five rabbits (5 eyes) from the control group were operated by the standard sinustrabeculectomy. Five rabbits (5 eyes) from the experimental group had a sinustrabeculectomy operation with viscoelastic introduction into the intrascleral bed and subconjunctival space. The research results have allowed to come to following conclusions: the introduction of 'Viscoat' viscoelastic into the intrascleral bed and subconjunctival space at the experimental animals during sinustrabeculectomy surgery furthers the prevention of an extra scarring in eye tissue and formation of moderate by space and height the filtrational pad.
