Glaucoma is a leading cause of blindness; We need glaucoma animal model to study the pathogen, pathology, prevention, diagnosis and therapy. Recently many rat glaucoma models have been developed and characterized. Because of its small size, the rat eye presents a technical challenge to assess intraocular pressure accurately. In this article, the principles and characteristics of the measurements are discussed. LA: Chinese
